ABOUT RIDE
RIDE Snowboards was founded by Roger Madison, James Salter, and Tim Pogue in september 1992 in Washington. Madison, who was big in the indoor-tanning business, Salter, who was running a sporting-goods-marketing biz and Pogue, operation manager for Kemper Snowboards at the time launched RIDE at the 1993 SIA, attracting attention with a purple mini ramp and booze, needless to say, people were stoked.

From the beginning on, RIDE Snowboards included its team riders to help design the snowboards and give their valuable input on marketing strategies. Focused on freestyle snowboarders, RIDE quickly became such a success, that some demands had to be left unfulfilled during their first season.

From minimal packaging, biodegradable wax or full swap die-cut bases all the way to the Membrain top sheet technology RIDE Snowboards is well involved in sustainable production of all gear, trying to keep waste to an absolute minimum. In 1995 the shift to a complete in-house production was made when RIDE Snowboards bought a snowboard production factory. After a major set-back in the late 1990s that hit the whole snowboard industry the company recovered slowly but surely.

RIDE Snowboards offers a wide range of different boards from powder to freestyle and all mountain, with an extra section for wide shred sticks. Apart from boards, RIDE Snowboards also produces bindings, boots, outerwear, bags ? all of it for men, women as well as kids. The snowboard team contains of every riding style and emphasizes the company's multi-layered offer with Jake Blauvelt bossing the back-country, Yuki Kadono sending it to podium spots at comps around the world or Spencer Schubert wow-ing with his creativity.
